Description

Indian Grass. Graceful seed heads appear in late summer on this clump-forming species. A beautiful plant, it is considered to be among the finest of the native grasses for use as an ornamental. An important component of the tall grass prairies. Tolerant of dry soil, but reaches its best development in moist, rich soil.
